I never have say that I did not wait for the last update
I have only say that having tested this update I did not see big novelty, it is thus of no use of be so impatient and to put under pressure the team PLI
If PLI team can give us new kernel in 2 weeks or 1 month i don't thing it's really a problem because VU+ are running very well with previous version too , it's my opinion
Ps : sorry for my bad english , i hope everybody can understand what i write :P

a lot of the added benefits to the kernel upgrade are behind the scenes such as improved driver support for USB devices direct from the kernel level it self meaning less need for externally added drivers etc. now you cant tell me there is no benefit form that surely ?.

Good

Besides of that: I think we would not have these kind of boxes if we would always be like "I am satisfied with the old stuff". :D

I don't have the feeling that we have now an "old stuff box" . Almost each day we receive updates (ViX and others sometimes) and will be your and our receiver with OpenPli image-stuf the latest standard (a day !!!!) with Enigma2 !!!!

Pls, respect for some days the policy of the Pli-team for the switch to newer kernel 3.1.1 beta ???

yeah seems the thread that was locked for me postsing the 3.1.1 drivers may have been a little short sighted. also for those interested new drivers were again released today but i'm not allowed to post them here, so you will have to google.

I don't know why an automatic build fails, but my (clean) build fails because of some unsatisfied dependencies /?//

No need to google, the drivers are available for anyone to download at http://archive.vuplu...wnload/drivers/
And of course they'll be in tomorrow's update.

Excuse me ?. i have never posted rumours or speculation and for your information it was clearly posted by milo that my post was unwelcome as point 1. The pli image at that time was not capable of using these drivers as they were waiting for Vu to give them patches and point 2. the drivers would be included in the image and therefore no wanted nor needed on the forum.

in future i sugest you get your facts straite before jumping on the bandwagon like the rest of the mindless sheep on this forum.

Milo i have a great deal of respect for you and the work you do but in my opinion and this is my own personal opinion not that of the ViX team, this forum prefers it's users to be mindless sheep and not real satellite enthusiasts. none of my posts have been disrespectful or attacking you or the PLi image / team in any way. However at every step i make i seem to be slapped down by your staff. If you only want mindless sheep on your forum rather than real satellite enthusiasts who can think for them selvesplease let me know so thta i do not waste your's or my own valuable time in the future.

no doubt when the rabble read this i will be inundated with negative feedback and a ban which is very sad indeed as i always thought that the PLi team stood for inovation and inventiveness, i sinceraly hope i am wrong but from my experiences here this last week i dont think so.

Hi,

good Development needs Discussion at high level and please compare with Linux Kernel, whereas really many patches are posted, but only a small number will be commited due to double-checks and e. g. for quality reasons....

I also wish your Guys a happy new year 2012.

we never said your not allowed to post the drivers, we said it didn't make sense...
the topic was locked because we made our statement clear that we would wait for the VU+ patches and still some users kept pushing for it...

For one thing, they don't work in the current OpenPLi version. For another, even if they did work, they would get into the feed anyway, and there's no reason to manually install them.

but please back on topic please to the new VU+ drivers, did they make progressive?

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

It is a time ago but if I'm remember well: You can have a look at log files in build-ultimo/tmp/work and look for those items.
perhaps it reveals why it does not find the packages. Is the source available?

Vu+ Solo2 / Atemio Nemesis / Et9000 / TM Twin / Spark2
