In the POT file, I found this
msgctxt "Satellite configuration mode"
msgid "Mode"
msgstr ""

msgctxt "Video output mode"
msgid "Mode"
msgstr ""
My question has ripened (more precisely curiosity) why translate one word twice?

When you have msgctxt it is the context of the msgid that follow, since some words can be context sensitive, it can happens that the same strings is repeated several times in a .POT file and perhaps that the translation will be different according to context.

The msgctxt is not a string to be translated only the msgid is. So the msgctxt is displayed when you use tools like PoEdit to represent in which context the msgid is displayed.

and then poedit recognizes the duplicates and signals them, it can also be an extra space and then the program goes on ..

here
I think it can be fine

Thanks, if you use Notepad++ please search for:

#, fuzzy

Then check the translation below:

Exemple:

#, fuzzy
msgid "Allow unsupported modes"
msgstr "Non supportato"

When you are done with the translation please delete the #, fuzzy in the file.

So we will have a fully translated it file.

There are still 22 fuzzy strings to check.

Thanks,

Pr2

let's try this way

Regards

Thanks, I have included your suggested translation in the attached file but do you think possible to:

- translate the remaining strings (there are not that much that still need to be translated)

- review the strings that needs it.

So we can have a fully translated it.po?

An easy tools to use for this is PoEdit:

https://poedit.net/

Here is the very latest it.po for develop branch (that 3 mores strings than in yours).

Pr2

Hi Pr2,

I'm going to do it in the next days for "develop" and "stable" branches.

Later I'll open a PR in the OpenPLi repo to commit them.

Regards

Hi Gringosat,

The message you quote was addressed to pzanone but you are welcome to propose any other translation files.

Hello Translators,

There are some strings to check and new strings to translate for develop branch.

You can get the latest updated po files from my git:

https://github.com/p...op-po-update/po

Hi,

The script that I use to generate the updated po files is now included into the github of OpenPLi (develop branch which is the default one).

https://github.com/O.../updateallpo.sh

Some pre-requisites are needed on your Linux system (those pre-requisite are exactly the same as the one needed with the make generation process):

gawk, find, xgettext, gsed, python, msguniq, msgmerge, msgattrib, msgfmt, msginit

Once you have installed all the pre-requisite simply:

git clone https://github.com/OpenPLi/enigma2.git

cd enigma2
cd po
./updateallpo.sh

Enjoy!
