To prevent problems with the changed kernel configurations for the dreambox models, I recommend flashing it anew with tomorrow's image. This will also bring the advantage of a faster booting box.

If you chose not to, you may run into the following problems if you do an online upgrade:

- Boots but no TV picture. Probably due to an old stv0299 module. Telnet works, so try "opkg remove --force-depends kernel-module-stv0299" and reboot. This will happen if you've upgraded or reflashed today already.

- Won't boot at all. Probably due to a missing "compr=none" in /etc/fstab during an upgrade. Before upgrading, edit /etc/fstab and add compr=none to the options for mounting /boot. If you didn't, you'll end up with a kernel that the bootloader cannot load. This may happen if you upgraded today.

could this be the same reason why my vu duo doesnt boot after update? only old kernel version does boot...

no, this change does not affect the vuduo
