Sorry, my mistake.

I didn’t test that satellite. Can’t even receive this AFAIK.

I am using same settings since last year - not sure what dish you have but maybe its moved slightly? On my 90cm dish its a really tight beam,

Just checked on a random receiver on several BBC HD channels. No issues seen or heard. ;)

Hello!

The sound on the BBC HD channels on "SAT 27.5W" has gone since a few days, while on all BBC SD Channels both picture ans sound are still working. Does anyone know whether the PCR settings have been changed for the HD channels?

PLEASE NOTE I'M TALKING ABOUT  INTELSAT SATELLITE  on 27,5°W!!! NOT 28,2° E

So am I! See my signatire I pick up 27.5W, 28.2E and 19.2E

All good and unchanged here.

Also signal is again at standard levels (I do not know if it was my problem or related to the satellite, but in any case it decreased a bit a couple of months ago).

Hi peeps, its been so long since we needed to change anything on the box, but how do we get the EPG for  5 select? Is it a Rytec request?

Thanks for any help in advance.

You know how to expand the 5select service with the extra parameter for epg?! Easily try and see whether rytec supports 5select..

T90: 42°E..4,9°E; CAS09: 7°E+4°W; Gibertini 125:27,5°W, 30°W
SF4008 with SDG-5

Hi all.

I'll be trying to set up a flat dish (selfsat) in Asturias pointing to 27,5ºw. Let's see how it goes 'cause these kind of dishes are suppose to be like traditional 50-60cm dish and according to satbeams, signal will be hedging in my area (northern Spain). In the meanwhile, two questions:

-Which TP do you use to point the antenna? I've got a GTMedia v9 digital meter, but I doubt it will work with the weird TPs in this satellite (i mean, with rare PID values and so on...)

-Got OpenATV in my Vu+ 4k. Any recommendation/manual in getting the box ready to open BISS channels?

I find the easiest way is to setup the dish on Hispisat 30W and get a picture, then rotate the dish back towards 27.5W until the picture freezes.  This should put you close enough to find a signal to setup 27.5W (11495v.) to then be able to fine tune.  Works for me although I did find that a 50cm dish was borderline in Spain and Portugal so normally used a 60cm in good weather and 80cm to cope with rain fade.  I used different dishes when traveling with the Motorhome

Thanks lespat. Theorically, the flat panels like Selfsat have a similar behaviour to 50-60cm dishes, but there is not a lot information on the net... I'll post my results!

Hi,

I am also in Asturias and use an 80cm dish for 27.5w, works fine.

good luck with your setup.
