also i think it's better to add "gst-plugin-dtsdownmix" in "dreambox.inc" not like

1. no, avoid machine specific stuff in bb files
2. yes, as dtsdownmix is not a real dependency of the dvbmediasink

I don't know what is the best option for .bb files. Important is not to break existing functionality (passthrough) and i think the patch (0001-Handle-DTS-Passthrough-and-Downmix.patch) does not break something.

 

Should i recreate patch changing dreambox.inc as Persian Prince suggested?

 

Are there any other improvements?

Patch created again. gst-plugin-dtsdownmix now is on dreambox.inc.

Compiled image with latest changes for DTS downmix work like a charm.

Is there any problem with the patches? Can i help somehow?

I am a bit lost... I see a parch and theee ipks.... Is the patch enough? If extra ipks then it is recommended that the required ipks are also included into the image..
And the other factor is the fact that dmm does not has licences to process dts.... So possibly we cannot legaly offer it.

Only the latest Patch needed.  0001-Add-DTS-support-on-dreambox-dvbmediasink.patch.txt

 

I created the packages (three ipk) for users not able to build those packages.

we might have to clean / force some rebuilds on the buildserver though, to get the machine rrecommends into the image

Hello,i have a dm500hd with latest openpli installed.When i am watching a movie with dts soundtrack and choose dts downmix on,error message appears on screen-Gstreamer plugin dts decoder not available!- no sound.Also when i choose dts downmix off,no errors but again sound is off.

Same here with latest image from build server for dm800se

When i compile the image (from sources)  it is ok ( libdca0_0.0.5-5-r1, gst-plugin-dtsdownmix_0.10.0 included also)
