i did just put this patch into ./meta-openpli/recipes-openpli/enigma2/files/ and edited enigma2.bb file like this:
SRC_URI = "git://git.code.sf.net/p/openpli/enigma2;protocol=git;branch=${ENIGMA2_BRANCH} \
file://<your_patch_name_here>.patch"
works flawlessly for me. there's certainly some better/correct way to do this but i'm too lazy to find out one as far as all works;). maybe someone teach us..

The patch is broken due to changes in schwerkraft dvbmediasink.git
- enabled wma/wmv support for dm8000 (new hw drivers needed!)
I did a remake of the patch, I'm not sure if all functionality is OK, but the patch applies fine to the gstdvbaudiosink.c file.

Sorry patch above does not work, it works for pli3 not 4.

The DM's don't build at the moment because of the changes in the mediasink (afaik patches don't apply anymore).
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

you can override a DNS lookup using your local host file. Unless you're using http and go through a proxy, that should work.

tried more ip's in hosts for github.com, but still same. On 95% it stops and then red errors and message about timeout.

Good to know that I'm not alone. After several tries (1-15) it normally works.
