@dreamboxco

I assume that "X-Forwarded-For=78.157.96.0" is required http header. If your OpenPli image is not older than 2 weeks, you can add it to bouquet like this:

#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//dr01-lh.akamaihd.net/i/dr01_0@147054/master.m3u8#X-Forwarded-For=78.157.96.0:channel_name

Ask OpenATV to merge servicemp3 changes, they are recent changes in OpenPLi to support this.

puc: the default PLi builds are still shipping with gstreamer 0.10.

If you'd like to use gstreamer 1.6.1 you have to build your own image from the gst-1 branch or use some oe-alliance based image.

i think you should not be surprised that your iptv bouquet does not work

and you are lucky that your image still working because there are different between openpli and openatv lib files
do you know which lib files you are replaced

I dont know if the devs are aware or not,but the latest gstreamer versions do not work correctly on the older gen 1 VU+ boxes.

When a stream is started the video will freeze immediately but the audio carries on for up to a minute, then the audio stops and the video begins to play right up until the point where the audio stopped. At this point the two marry up and the stream plays in sync exactly has it should.

This problem shows itself with mainly with HLS but its also apparent in other stream types too.

As stated its only on the older VU+ boxes and the gen 2 boxes are not affected by this at all and the problem does not exist when using 1.5.9.

Ian.

Yes, HLS seems to be broken on Dreambox receivers as well :(

It used to work using my older images though.

I still have to find out which version and mediasink I was using back then.

@ian1095, thanks for the feedback. That means a consideration of whether these receiver can get the upgrade.

@ Erik

They can get the update as Gstreamer 1.5.9 did not have this problem at all on the older VU+ gen 1 boxes, and it did work very well, its something that's recently been changed that is now causing this problem,my guess would be its a change in mediasink as MastaG suggested.

Ian.

I think it's not the mediasink, since  I already tried reverting various commits based on input from Athoik and mx3L.

I think it's just gstreamer handling fragmented streams differently which some receivers just don't like.

But there are some nice fixes queued up for 1.6.2.

I'll try to build the master branch of gstreamer when I have some spare time to see whether it improves a bit.

We can't go including different versions of gstreamer into the images of different receivers.
