Btw, my F500HD has a very small flash and I use the Expander (built-in Flash Expander for PBNIGMA 3.0.1) to extend its capabilities. All is working really well, even though I installed the full ffmpeg package...

Yes, but bitbake works by checking the actual binaries after they've been built.
For exteplayer3 it determines that it's only linked dynamically to some of the ffmpeg libraries (like libavcodec etc..) and not to the actual ffmpeg binary /usr/bin/ffmpeg.
Also the ffmpeg bitbake recipe will build multiple (ipk) packages, the ffmpeg package contains the /usr/bin/ffmpeg binary, but the other libraries are built into their own packages (like libavcodec...ipk).
And obviously the main ffmpeg package depends on those libraries as they are required for running the main binary.
There's no single ffmpeg ipk which contains everything.. because it's not built like that.
That's why the packages in the feeds differ a bit from the ones described in the procedure on the wiki

Kodi requires OpenGL ES drivers to be available for your receiver.
If your receiver have such drivers available then it should be possible.
But afaik there are many receivers which have support in their soc but not in the drivers (probably due to licensing/nda costs)
VU+ Solo4K and VU+ Uno4K have kodi on other images...

Umm ok but in the IPTV player wiki the instructions are to install the full ffmpeg binary which takes too much space on VU solo.

That's for the whole thing, ffmpeg + IPTV Player, with all the bits and bobs, installed later on, like extplayer3, gstplayer...
I repeat: install it after installing Flash Expander, if one doesn't have a big enough Flash.
Or via one of MultiBoot plugins, on a USB stick...

Preparation to install ffmpeg
Before installation make sure that you have enough space in your rootfs. You need at least 15MB free space.
It seems to me that you do not know about what you write.
You wrote about /usr/bin/ffmpeg binary. You have a problem because /usr/bin/ffmpeg is inside ffmpeg package.
Posted 14 July 2017 - 13:28
SSS, he quoted your text.
MastaG mentioned the folders...
Anyway, this is unnecessary - as I reported, my F500HD has only 64MB flash and after installing Flash Expander (built-in PBNIGMA), I installed everything I ever wanted and all is functioning just fine...
Please, let us behave amicably. This is a hobby and it should be enjoyable...

SSS, he quoted your text.
OMG Really?
It seems to me that you also not understand about what are you writing about.
In your case this is typical.
So, one again:
Moonwalker complain that for example packege http://iptvplayer.pl...ive_rtmp.tar.gz contain /usr/bin/ffmpeg binary.
I have shown him that the /usr/bin/ffmpeg binary has no big impact on the size of the ffmpeg package.
As I wrote:
Before installation make sure that you have enough space in your rootfs. You need at least 15MB free space.
But he not complain about this before. He complain because of /usr/bin/ffmpeg do you understand, or not?
I wrote "You need at least 15MB free space." because you must leave some free space in your rootfs If you do not want to have problems.Understand?

You do not understand anything except coding. Indeed, this is really "typical" of you.
1) Learn how to behave like a decent human being - the way you are, you must pulverise everybody in your path. It only speaks of you. Get some help.
2) Moonwalker simply noted that the whole thing needs 15MB and his STB is limited. That's important here, not to nitpick, like you want to, because it allows you to abuse people freely, then...
3) The bits regarding where what is, how big it is, in detail etc. he did not go into. MastaG and Taapat did and your beef is really firstly with yourself...
Is it too much to ask that you behave in a collegiate manner, not as a MMA fighter?!?
Posted 14 July 2017 - 13:49
You really have big problem. Please check @Moonwalker posts. When he wrote about 15MB and about what he wrote before.
I've written you many times. I do not give you permission to copy my instructions. Do you understand it?
Why you do this? You have no honor. You're like a tick or leech.
Please stop use my work. You are the person who is not welcome to use IPTVPlayer. Do you understand this?

You really do not understand anything at all. I pity you.
Please, get some help with non-coding stuff in your life. You really need it.
Posted 14 July 2017 - 13:58
The only person without any "honour" here is you. If one doesn't know how to preserve other people's honour, then he has none at all.
But that is too much for you to understand... obviously....
Posted 14 July 2017 - 14:03
Go get some help, man. At the very least, you are autistic. I bet! Which is not an insult, in that case. It just means you need to get recognised and then supported properly. If you are not - then I really do pity you....
Since you are not capable of having a rational, civilised debate, I am out of here...
Posted 14 July 2017 - 14:09
Gentlemen, please, this is not going anywhere.
Gorski, stop insulting other people. Even if people suffer from a condition (I happen to have autism, and that isn't all fun at all), it is still an insult if used in a degorative way.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I did not do that. Period! My son is autistic!
I said, if he is not, then... Ergo, if he is, then I meant no harm - quite the opposite!
Whatever I said that was offensive was in defence - the real abuser here is SSS, as anyone can tell... I kept asking him to start behaving in a collegiate manner but oh no...
