OK thanks ill try unofficial 6.0 rc in my dm500hd... however im wondering if I can fix current version without upgrading to a non stable image... ian where are you?

There will not be an OpenPLi 6+ release for the DM500-HD.

 

So whatever you find are going to be home builds, which are not OpenPLi images (as we haven't made them), and are per definition unsupported.

some commit have been pushed into openatv in order to solve this problem ... are you so generous to build up serviceapp plugin binaries against Openatv 6.1?

If these commits have been pushed then serviceapp just needs to be rebuild against this enigma2 and EPG should work. Sorry, I don't have development environment for openatv image so cannot build.

Unfortunately developers are not to interested into IPTV problems. They are developing image by their needs and this is all just a hobby. Like how I concluded from their posts they are making image for satellite box not for IPTV box. (I read that response on this forum somewhere). So we can just hope that they will change their minds about IPTV.

 

 

EPG problem which you are trying to fix is reported some time ago and it suppose to be fixed, but its not obviously ....

 

There are allot more problems not just EPG.

 

If you set serviceapp non original player and if you try to record IPTV (4097,5002) , spinner will come up and box will be suck like that until reboot.
This problem is reported some time ago.

Expeplayer3 and internal player is not reconnecting IPTV stream when connection is unexpectedly closed, picture will stay frozen until rezap.

So if you recording something all will be useless.

IPTV recording problems (2 separate streams are needed instead just one), I wrote about that before.

 

 

 

 

Are these issues ever likely to be fixed?  The big one for me is the frozen screen rezap.  My Enigma2 box is otherwise perfect, and it would be shame to have to buy something else like a MagBox.

Thank you very much, are there any instructions for applying this patch on my E2 box?  I know how to FTP into it etc, but I haven't worked with Python scripts before.

this ist the DP patch, (Dream Property) former DMM (Dream Multimedia), it was announced yesterday as working well, maybe fixed a few weeks ago, I don´t know if I picked the real commit, was something about reconeccting, how or wheather it can be applied for other images, no idea

The oe-a images took my hotkey.py and rename it to buttonsetup.py... something I really don’t like. But what has hotkey to do with remember the last time stamp you left a stream? This should be unrelated...

there is no stamp, you start watching from the beginning and seek forward to the place you stopped watching yesterday, without this patch you have to watch it always from the beginning
