The current driver doesn't support that USB ID, it is newer than the driver.
Updating it is a lot of work (and not guaranteed to work), so that won't be for 7.2-release.

We never add features to an already released stable version, and 7.2 is due any day now.
This will be for 8.0 probably, given the fact it might be a week work to get all kernel support patched back in, not going to happen for 7.2, that codebase is already frozen.

Did his stick has the same USB ID as yours? If so, yours should work too (with 7.2-rc, not 7.1-release, because that was what that user tested).
If not, that doesn't say anything, as the correct driver is identied and loaded by USB ID, and your USB ID was only added to the driver source on september 22nd 2019 (see https://github.com/c...0d2c665dee490f1), it's not present in the driver version currently in OpenPLi.

No, that is a link to commit to the current source that added your stick, as I wrote from september 22nd, for linux kernel 5.6.
The source used in OpenPLi is from 2018, and to be able to use more recent source, patches need to be made because we need to support more than 15 different linux kernel versions, from an ancient 2.6 to 5.2, and all need to compile without errors. This is a lot of work...

My stick is also listed on the September git link you provided: TP-LINK Archer T3U; lsusb = ID 2357:012d.
I bought it to have IEEE 802.11ac for good IPTV reception on my Vuplus Zero.
I wish it will be included in the next OpenPLi image, I already gave up messing with kernels and manual driver installation to no avail.
Thanks for your work.
