Zgemma (should have) fixed the driver issues on the H9, there is a new image online.

My Zgemma H9S now boots ok and seems to work fine (no boot logo now?).

But as the first update to 7.3, the RCA out only displays video with no audio. Tested with 7.2 version and works good both video and audio by RCA out.

Driver issue?

After updating the OpenPli firmware on my Vu+ Duo 4k from version 7.2 to version 7.3 I cannot connect anymore from my notebook with WinSCP (port 21) or telnet (port 23) to the receiver. Ping from my notebook to Vu+ Duo 4k works fine. Also the Internet access from Duo 4k is working. Did any settings changed, do I have to re-enable external access to the Duo 4k box? Are these ports by default blocked in the new OpenPli image?

Am I really the only one with this problem?

And with another (for example DCC)? I have no problem here and I am in the same environment as you.

I updated 7.3 with the today release, reconfigured the WLAN settings, and now the network is working correctly... Weird...

Is it possible to install a second soft-cam manually on this image version? I have installed oscam-emu from the feed, but I would like to install also the "pure" oscam 1.20 with some special configuration settings that I use to update my local cards. Is it oscam also available on the soft-cam feed? I see only the oscam-emu there.

Certainly the regular version of Oscam is on the feed. I expect that you already installed it so logically you don’t see it on the feed anymore. Check via menu - plug-ins - red button softcams. If it’s installed it’s there.

You are right, indeed! Thanks!

I put OpenVix 5.0.39 today in flash...OpenPli 7.3 put in 4 slot...After entering the OpenPli 7.3 I can't see any slots....he writes no mimage found in multiboot.....I point out this problem all the time, but it's as if you don't understand or don't want to understand the problem..

I no longer want to test something that makes no sense...

Someone with an H7 needs to look at it. As I don't own one, it won't be me.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

@sportfootbol

AFAIK you already received a reply from Wanwizard regarding this specific issue.

Possibly you didn’t receive more detailed answers on your ‘request’ due to the fact that it’s holiday time so more of our members that owe a H7S enjoy their holiday.

I do not own a Zgemma H7s so I am not able to test.

You might also try to put OpenPLi 7.3 in flash and test whether your issue is still present?

It looks like the boxmode code has been removed from the Multiboot code. This could interfere with detection of the multiboot partitions (probably also an issue on the VS1500 then).

So this needs looking at.

That shouldn't be needed if the image currently in flash is of the new multiboot format type.

That's right .... Will someone solve this problem ...

OpenPli 7.2 works normally in multiboot..

I've checked with the developer.

Between 7.2 and 7.3, the multiboot system has been changed. Together with the vendors and other image makers we have unified the mechanism, instead of every vendor and image maker using their own system.

From that I understand, OE-A images are backwards compatible, and OpenPLi is not.

Which means my initial comments still stand: OpenPLi 7.3+ needs a new multiboot type image in flash. That doesn't have to be OpenPLi, any of the others will do to. But if you have say ATV 6.2 in flash, you'll have this problem.

A quick check:

mkdir /tmp/bdev
mount /dev/mmcblk0p7 /tmp/bdev
ls -l /tmp/bdev
umount /tmp/bdev

A new multiboot partition scheme should have directories for STARTUP_LINUX_2_BOXMODE_1, STARTUP_LINUX_3_BOXMODE_1, STARTUP_LINUX_4_BOXMODE_1 and STARTUP_LINUX_2_BOXMODE_12, STARTUP_LINUX_3_BOXMODE_12, STARTUP_LINUX_4_BOXMODE_12.

If it doesn't, or you can't mount that partition, your flashed image is too old.
