Very well possible. OE-A makes their own BSP, VU+ maintains ours. So they can explain what is different between the BSP they've made for us, and their own image.
The new OpenPLi Release 8.0 is available for download.

Now, HbbTV works on my vu solo2 .
I installed the OpenOpera Browser.
After that, I could start it with the red Button.
What did you use before then?

The default HbbTV browser built for the Solo2 is, according to the BSP, the "VU+ HBBTV Plugin" which uses "Opera HbbTV browser".
But I've checked the opera binary supplied by VU+, and it doesn't appear to support gstreamer 1.18, so that might be the problem, code too old...

Hi everybody.
I have just flashed my VU+ Duo2 with the last 8.0, and no way to have the picons on the list of channels.
I have the picon on the little screen on the front of the VU+
I put my files in /usr/share/enigma2/picon.
What can i do ?
Thank in advance.
Best regards
And, of course Happy New Year...

My box is Zgemma H7S, so arm architecture.
It should be in the feed:
[wanwizard@buildserver2] $ ls -l cortexa15hf-neon-vfpv4 | grep youtube-dl -rw-r--r-- 2 build build 1285170 Dec 31 15:17 python-youtube-dl_0.0-18112-g4d7d056-r0.0_cortexa15hf-neon-vfpv4.ipk
maybe the package index is out of sync due to this afternoons fix attempt.
It is probably best to wait until the new build is finished, around 21:30 CET.

I don't see why that shouldn't work. Did you enable it in the config, as it is disabled by default?

All multiboot images are missing (affects eg sf8008m, hd51 and many more). We need to check that.
Thank you, hopefully those will come within the next few days or something (sf8008m is in my interest)
Thx in advance!
All good now, multiboot image installed and working fine
Happy New Year!
Thx

With the online flash method combined with a correct backup you will be up and running within minutes, depending the number of plugins and speed of your hardware
Hi,
Maybe I have not understand well: I was on 7.2 from May 2020, and after an automatic backup, as said, I have tried the online update. There was a lot of packages, as not done from May (514) and now I am on 7.3 from Dec. 29th.
When I check for online updates: no updates available.
Have I done something wrong of not understand and the only way is to flash again from Usb?
Thanks for the answer, and to all the team, congrats for the always good job and best wishes for the new year

If you are on 7.2 and you do an online update, you go to 7.3. You need to flash to install a new major release.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
