If it happens on every restart, restart Enigma in debug mode, and post the debuglog here, from /home/root.


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

The startup hangs on the fact interface wg0 is reported "up", but isn't up at all, so the IP can't be retrieved.

This probably means wireguard needs to be started after the network is up but before Enigma is started.

 

What symlink in /etc/rc3.d is created for wireguard?

I have no experience with wireguard. Doesn't it have a log somewhere, that could explain why it doesn't start?

It is not like that.
Wireguard starts correctly. Access to the console via SSH is valid.
The enigma does not start. There is a small circle on the screen all the time.
For now I have found a pseudo cron solution.

Enigma doesn't start through because wg0 is up but doesn't have an IP address. It loops on polling the interface for the status.

8.1 didn't check interface information, it just used whatever rubbish was available the moment Enigma checked during startup.

 

Can you post the output of

ifconfig wg0
ip addr show dev wg0

and

grep -r "" /sys/class/net/wg0/

Can you test something for me?

 

Install the enigma2 sources:

opkg install enigma2-src

then edit "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Network.py", and replace

			if os.path.exists('/sys/class/net/%s/carrier' % iface):
				data['up'] = open('/sys/class/net/%s/carrier' % iface).read().strip() == '1'

by

			if os.path.exists('/sys/class/net/%s/operstate' % iface):
				data['up'] = open('/sys/class/net/%s/operstate' % iface).read().strip() == 'up'

( make sure you keep the correct indentation )

 

and see if Enigma now starts properly?

I have just noticed i can't access anymore to my vu+ by his ip adress in a browser.

It's since i have update the vu+ to the 8.2

I have change nothing in my installation.

 

What i can do ?
