Still to old... ;)

See https://cateee.net/l...USB_DVBSKY.html ( requires 3.18+, the Zero 4K has a 4.1 kernel )

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I have noticed the DVBSky (and many more) drivers reappeared in the feed.

But It still doesn't work.

I'm attaching debug logs from 7.3, 8.0 and 8.3 - in the first two the tuners are working, in the last one not working.

The main difference IMHO is - the first two - I have upgraded to them.

The 8.3 was flashed with a config restore.

Maybe I could try to upgrade from 7.3 to 8.3?

The driver is exactly the same in all instances, which is logical, the kernel hasn't changed at all.

The major (and probably only relevant) difference between 7.x and 8.x is mdev vs udev, so it could be a udev detection issue.

If the change was between 7.x and 8.x, then in 8.0 it shouldn't work but it does work.

That doesn't make sense ...

I wonder if this is not Enigma related, as every 8.x release runs the same OE.

Your log shows the stick responds fine, but the tuning failed. Which is very different to "the stick doesn't work".

Sorry I'm just an user, for me when the green LED on the stick stays off, then it doesn't work.

I did some more flashing and testing, this time focusing on the green LED on the stick.

And you are probably right.

During a scan, the LED is on, only when the tuning is locked on a channel with a signal - on 8.0.

On 8.3 the LED is off all the time and a scan finds nothing.

I was also comparing the content of 8.0 and 8.3 dmesg and messages and all seems fine there.

So it seems, that the stick is working, it "just" doesn't tune ...

More likely nobody has the hardware required to test.

We're not a big fan of USB tuners, due to the low-budget implementation of most of them, and the fact they require kernel drivers we don't maintain nor control.

It doesn't seem (to me) to be a driver problem.

I will gladly test it.

Those two lines are present in the log of 8.0 but missing in the log of 8.3

https://forums.openp...dpost&p=1490952

and then tuning fails.

1)I don't think anyone can help you.

Huge difference between 8.0 & 8.3.

2)8.2 work?

3)test develop image

maybe...

1) that's really unfortunate :-(

2) 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 don't work

3) I did, when I started this thread - it didn't work

But I can try to test it again with the actual develop version

https://github.com/O...4ace4dbbf87bd30 - I don't understand that. Does it mean USB tuner support was remove at completely (eDVBUsbAdapter)?
