I just installed the PLi® Jade3 - for the Dreambox DM500 .
I configured everything as is in the wiki. and is working fine (i use a rotor dish) but the problem i am facing is:

When i start movieplayer on the DM500 i see the movie starting on the PC, on the web interface for the VLC also starts with the movie selected on the DM, i got a message on the DM500 "buffering..", but after a few seconds the VLC resarts the movie again and stays in this loop, and no image on TV.

I am using VLC 0.9.9

Any sugestions

Use VLC 0.8.6. The latest VLC requires difficult settings.

Could you tell me what settings should I set for vlc 0.9.9. 'Cause only 0.9.x could play real videos.

I tried with 0.8.6b and the same thing happens, the VLC starts on the PC, starts on 8080 port, "buffering" on the tv after a few seconds the vlc starts from the begining and no image on the TV
forgot to mention i'am running Vista

any ideias

I can stream tv from DM to the PC without any problem. currently i am using 0.8.6b

I installed VLC 0.8.6i, no luck.
There was a instalation problem were i had the .m3u file associated to WMP i corrected that and now
if i press vpid on the web interface the VLC starts perfectly and i can stream the video from DM500 to the PC (working without any issues).

Every time i go to the movieplayer i can see the dir/files on the pc after i choose a file on the DM it starts to play on the pc and shortly after reset on the pc, starts again, again... but no image on the DM, just "buffering ...".

Could the DM is requesting to start again because is not getting any video format the way it suposed to receive (i trying to stream an AVI in XVID 608x272)? is there any setting that we must switch on the VCL so theh DM can see the video transcoded ?

there is a problem with movieplayer , it worked fine with pli jade 2

Did you reconfigure the movieplayer settings (server IP, etc.) after upgrading?

Yes, i did everything as is in the Wiki to setupmovie player, i can stream video from dm to the pc on vlc, from the pc to the dm the vlc at the pc keeps restarting the movie after a few seconds.

For sure there's a problem with movieplayer !
Last night i put jade3 on my box 500 and also on my other box 7000
before i hat jade2 and everything was working great on both boxes.
after instaling jade3 none of the boxes was playing movies via movieplayer
al the other things working perfect

after a lot of testing on the box movieplayer settings nothing helps
i put back the jade 2 and the movieplayer workt fine again
i did nothing on the pc site so my conclusion is movieplayer no good in jade3

info : movieplayer starts to buffer but stays on zero screen dissapear en comes back over and over but he dont start to buffer stay's on zero

I heard more problems with movieplayer, so we can assume it's a bug. But what's wrong, I wouldn't know.

I installed the pli jade3 essencially because of movieplayer , because in my last image (nabilo) it was not working... and surprise surprise... is not work in pli jade 3 too/images/smiley/more_angry/2.gif . I have the same problem than the others users... the movie play in VLC... and in TV appears something like "buffering.... please wait".. and nothing append before...

it's a known problem, we don't have a solution right now....
