plugin.video.iplayerwww seems not to work for radio for me. This may be because BBC have replaced "iPlayer Radio" with "BBC Sounds". plugin.video.itv is not working for me - I get listings but programmes don't play. I've not yet checked to see itv is fixed upstream (I don't see a relevant recent change in iplayerwww) or seriously delved in the logs to produce proper reports. If it would help, let me know and I will.

Would it be possible to have iplayerwww or similar for BBC catchup, please? I do not seem to be very good at adapting it myself.

 

Yes. In KodiLite first screen - Install addon (green button) -> KodiLite list > TV & IPTV -> plugin.video.iplayerwww.

Does KodiLite allow users to change the settings of addons?

Yes. After you select the addon - go to Setup.

Also of course - you can change settings manually in addon folder /resources/settings.xml. Regards.

Your example .mp4 link downloads ok with vlc( too big to attach here). So it is probably a chunksize issue. I have not tried with KodiLite - but perhaps mfaraj57 could check out the download method in KodiLite 5.0 (it was his own method). Regards.

Plugin enigma2-plugin-extensions-kodiliteinstaller is attached below. It can be used to install complete plugin KodiLite on a usb stick or external hdd - and also as normal in internal /Plugins/Extensions.

After first time start of KodiLite - Exit and Restart enigma. Please note that any already installed KodiLite will be deleted.

Installing KodiLite externally can make some operations faster and also useful for boxes with limited flash memory.

There is no tutorial - but in my experience these are the general rules for making a streamlink plugin :-

(1) Find links which do not change - for example : https://www.filmon.com/tv/bbc-one

(2) Find a scraping method that gets the playable url - for example for bbc-one :  https://edge-1165-ch...777c09240f2ca5b

(3) To be suitable for a streamlink plugin (this is important) the scraping method must include only one determination of the webpage source (usually via urllib2.urlopen). If you have to do that twice - the plugin will be too slow and may not show the stream.

(4) Finally, put the plugin in the streamlink/plugins folder and use the attached sltest.py to test a link. To run it do these commands :-

cd /usr/lib/enigma2/python

python sltest.py > /tmp/sl.txt 2>&1 &
