The maps have moved from www.wetterkontor.de/maps/ to a new path: img.wetterkontor.de/karten/.

To get it working again in plugin.py the line

 

urllib.urlretrieve("http://www.wetterkontor.de/maps/" + region + "0.jpg", devicepath)

 must be changed to

 

urllib.urlretrieve("http://img.wetterkontor.de/karten/" + region + "0.jpg", devicepath)

 After that everything works again.

Hij gaf aan de glass skin handmatig te hebben verwijderd. Dat interpreteerde ik als een delete van de directory vanaf de Telnet command prompt. En dan staat hij dus nog wel in de autoinstall. Vandaar mijn waarschuwing.

Ik heb zojuist een patch voor Foreca naar versie 2.5 aangeleverd naar Milo, met het verzoek deze bij gelegenheid te verwerken.

[*]Ik heb getracht het hoofdscherm ook in SD weer te laten geven
[*]De Griekse taal is toegevoegd door dimfil (waarvoor dank). Ik heb het bestand hernoemd van default.po naar Foreca.po (zelfde als bij de andere talen)
[*]Er zijn nu nog twee lijstnamen in gebruik: MainList voor het hoofdscherm, en MList voor de andere schermen. LET OP: aanpassing van skins kan nodig zijn!
[*]Voor de plaats en datum aanduiding op het hoofdscherm zijn nu drie mogelijkheden beschikbaar:

[*]Titel (alles in één regel, uit de oorspronkelijke versie)
[*]Titel3 (alles in drie regels, zoals toegevoegd door aardbei)
[*]Titel4 (bevat de land- en plaatsnaam in één regel, nieuw)

[*]De eerste kolommen van het hoofdscherm zijn smaller gemaakt, waardoor de laatste kolom meer ruimte heeft
[*]De meeste debug print statements zijn commentaar gemaakt.

You're almost there. One thing though: the file in /etc/enigma2 should be named user_skin.xml. It only needs to contain the screens you want to change of the active skin. So there only the parts that are in user_skin.xml are being replaced from your active skin. The other screens in your active skin remain as they are. User_skin.xml only partially overrides the active skin.xml.

[*]Een technische aanpassing: de aanroepen van de in Enigma onbetrouwbare os.system functie zijn vervangen

Zodra de nieuwe versie op de feed staat, zou hij bij een online update automatisch de vorige versie moeten vervangen.

Dat soort instellingen wordt voor onder andere veel plugins bewaard in het bestand /etc/enogma2/settings.

By a few fast adopters of the new version a nasty bug was detected in version 2.0. The paging through the upcoming days no longer works.

Ik kan het ook bevestigen, en heb gelukkig de oorzaak gevonden. Ik had op twee plaatsen in de aansturing van de Foreca webpage een ? staan inplaats van een &. Het gevolg is dat de de webpagina zich niets meer aantrekt van de meegegeven datum, en de gegevens van vandaag blijft weergeven. In bijgaande versie 2.01 is dat gecorrigeerd. Bij mij werkt het bladeren door de datums nu weer als vanouds. Ik heb meteen ook de wijzigingsbeschrijving uit het commentaar weggehaald. Mijn excuses voor deze stomme fout.

I have just uploaded the new version 2.0 of the Foreca plugin.
Changes are:[list]
[*]Further internationalisation. Supported languages are now: Dutch, English, German, French and Polish.
[*]Language support extendable by adding locale files for other languages.
[*]Support for handling diacritics on the Foreca website by means of a new external configuration file Foreca.cfg. This means that the support of diacritics for new languages is also possible without having to change the programming of the plugin. Filter.cfg is located in /etc/enigma2/Foreca, and is not overwritten when performing updates.
[*]Several changes to some of the screens, so these are more consistent, even without using external skin screen definitions.
[*]The red key in the Slideshow setup screen now is a true Cancel. Before the red key just worked like another green key (Save).
[*]A large number of various smaller changes.

When you are using an earlier version of the plugin, it is best to first remove that one before installing this new version. All existing configuration files in /etc/enigma2/Foreca will not be overwritten or removed on installation of the new version.

NB:
The example user_skin.xml files for MagicHD and the plugin must be adlusted to present everything correctly in this new version. For that reason I have also placed a zip file with new examples. The old examples will lead to losing some of the screen elements.

Hierbij de nieuwe versie 2.0 van de Foreca Weersverwachting plugin.
Veranderingen:[list]
[*]Verdere internationalisering. Ondersteunde talen zijn nu: Nederlands, Engels, Duits, Frans en Pools.
[*]Taal ondersteuning uitbreidbaar door toevoegen van locale bestanden voor andere talen.
[*]Ondersteuning van diacritics op de Foreca website middels een nieuw extern configuratie bestand Foreca.cfg. Hierdoor is ook de ondersteuning van diacritics voor nieuwe talen mogelijk zonder programmeerwerk aan de plugin. Filter.cfg staat in /etc/enigma2/Foreca, en wordt bij updates niet overschreven.
[*]Diverse aanpassingen aan enkele schermen, zodat die (ook zonder skins) consistenter zijn.

Als een eerdere versie van de plugin in gebruik is, is het verstandig om die eerst te verwijderen, voordat deze nieuwe versie geïnstalleerd wordt. Al bestaande configuratie bestanden in /etc/enigma2/Foreca worden bij de installatie van de nieuwe versie niet overschreven of verwijderd.

NB:
De voorbeeld user_skin.xml files voor MagicHD en de plugin moeten aangepast worden om alles helemaal foed weer te geven in de nieuwe versie. Daarvoor heb ik ook een zip file met aangepaste voorbeelden bijgevoegd. Met de oude versies vallen bepaalde schermelementen weg.

Zoals ik ook al in de Engelstalige thread heb aangegeven: ik verwacht niet van je dat je deze versie op de Git plaatst. Ik ben bezig om te doorzien wat ik moet doen om daarvoor een patch aan te leveren. Ik stuur je daarover binnenkort nog wel een PM. In elk geval bedankt voor je medewerking tot dusver.

Ik heb op dit moment een versie 2.0 in voorbereiding. Daarin is de internationalisering nu tot een redelijk niveau afgerond, met als talen Nederlands, Engels, Duits, Frans en Pools. Ik heb ondertussen ook eens gekeken naar het fenomeen Git en TortoisGit zoals Milo had aangegeven, en ik moet zeggen dat me dat op dit moment zelfs wel meer dan maar één hobbel te veel voorkomt. Vooralsnog begrijp ik daar maar heel weinig van.

Ik zal in elk geval als de nieuwe versie klaar is (lees doorgetest) de ipk hier plaatsen. Degenen die hem dan willen gebruiken kunnen hem dan downloaden en via Telnet installeren. Aangezien de versie nu zal zijn opgetrokken naar 2.0, zou hij volgens mij ook niet meer mogen worden overschreven door de 1.9 in de Git. Even geduld nog s.v.p.

This morning I uploaded a new version of the plugin containing the following changes:[list]
[*]The plugin is now completely in the English language, with added translations in Dutch and German. With that a basis for an international version has been laid.
[*]The configuration files (the file City.cfg which is a standard part of the plugin, and the files fav1.cfg, fav2.cfg and startpagina.cfg as created by the users themselves) are now placed in /etc/enigma2/Foreca
[*]City.cfg is marked as a configuration file, and will not be overwritten by future updates
[*]In the standard version of City.cfg in various countries cities have been added. There are now at least some cities in all countries that appear in the Europe menu.
[*]City.cfg has been sorted alfabetically on country, and within that on city (English names). On the other hand, the Netherlands are still at the top, but everyone can change that according to their own taste.

Instructions to start using this new version:

For those who do not yet use the plugin it is very simple: just download and install the current version and restart Enigma2. After that you can start using it.

For those who are already using an earlier version of the plugin, a little more has to be done, i.e.[list]
[*]Through Telnet create the directory Foreca in /etc/enigma2. Take care: the spelling of the name must be exactly as written down here, so using a capital F.
[*]Copy (when yoy want to keep your current versions) the files City.cfg, fav1.cfg, fav2.cfg and startpagina.cfg from the plugin directory to the new directory.
[*]Next de-install the old version of the plugin, and restart Enigma2.
[*]Download and install the new version of the plugin and restart Enigma2.
[*]The new version is now ready for use

As said, in its present form the plugin works in English, German and Dutch. When others make locale files for other languages, plase place them here (both the files Foreca.po and Foreca.mo), so others can dowload and use them oif they want it, and they can also be added to the IPKs of upcoming versions.

The example user_skin.xml posted before contains a few texts in Dutch. For now anyone who wnats it will have to translate these themselves. Hopefully these texts can be delivered in the correct language from the plugin in a future version. Some work must remain to be done, of course!
