I'm not complaining and I'm not against this epg plugin.
I just like to point out that making it open source (maybe it is but I cannot find any statement about it) would be even better.
You see what happened to OpenPli or to OpenWebif! The same can happen for cool tv guide.
Compare that with what is happening with DMM itself closing their code....

OpenPli is about open source software for your STB. So we will embrace others that open up their source. Everybody is welcome to do so.

at the beginning from Cool TV Guide comes a member from VIX and told me to help...
i think you know him, its Andy...
so he help me about 2 weeks...
so long till he had the full source in his hand...
after then, i heard nothing more from him !

around 2-3 weeks later oh wonder, a "new" EPG from VIX come out VIX EPG !
they steal me the full source and rename it for VIX !

and thats not all...

at their forum they told to the user, that the VIX EPG is soooo a lot of better and quicker then the Cool TV Guide
and Coolman is a bad coder....

so mirakels tell me,

where you find at VIX EPGs that the sourcecode is from me ?

VIX EPGs = a little, now old Version from Cool TV Guide !!!

and this fact i can verify you !

at this point i told to me...
either i make nothing more...
or i closed all

so now you know why Cool TV Guide is closed and have a Copyright

zap at different station and you will see that the EPG fills automatically

only if you like this special Skin for Cool TV Guide, then install also the skin V5.0

I did enable this setting in CoolTV/Menu/TV - Skip channels without EPG to Yes



And after E2 restart it still shows the channels without epg, example last channel listed BVN from hotbird.

if you press down, and a channel come with no EPG, then the coursor jump to the next available EPG channel..

if you not find "coolpico(n)" in your skin.xml..
then you get also no problem with 5.6.1....

and there are a lot of changes in the new version

you don't need coolpico anymore and so you save around 8 MB Ram !!

so install 5.6.1 and then you can delete your coolpico folder...

with all fixes

it works at PLI 100%



if you get always a greenscreen:

then your skin is to old !

you get a error message like this

ImportError: No module named CoolConverter

so go to FTP:

/usr/share/enigma2/YourSkin/

open the skin.xml with Notepad++ or else

search for CoolPico oder CoolPicon

it looks like this:

<widget source="Service" render="CoolPicon" position="500,20" zPosition="1" size="50,30" alphatest="on">
<convert type="CoolConverter">CoolEvent</convert>
</widget>

delete the 2 and 3 line, and if you have a n in CoolPicon

after it must looks like this:

<widget source="Service" render="CoolPico" position="500,20" zPosition="1" size="50,30" alphatest="on" transparent="1" />

and this you have to do with all founds...

BUT not chance the other things like position or else !
because this is special from your skinner...
only delete the 2 and 3 line and maybe the n in Coolpicon if exist...

safe and upload to your skin folder....
