Frank, you are now being rather stupidely and crudely offensive, shooting yourself in the foot... From what I can tell, it is down to you, rather than SSS.

I just installed it all for SH4 rec - but you have to edit the links: http://iptvplayer.pl/resources/

Smart DNS Proxy is a secure DNS proxy to unblock websites, including audio and video streaming services. Unblock websites like Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Crackle, BBC iPlayer, Pandora, Spotify, and more when you use Smart DNS Proxy — easily and quickly. With Snart DNS Proxy, you can visit any blocked website and access any streaming service.

With Smart DNS Proxy you don’t have to install any software or app, you don’t have to connect or disconnect like a VPN, it’s much faster than VPNs, and it works with any and all of your devices (PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, Smart TV, Xbox, PS4, etc.)… simultaneously!

The best part? With today’s offer, you also get SmartVPN and access to dozens of VPN servers around the world (including US, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, France, Sweden, and more). SmartVPN is the VPN companion to Smart DNS Proxy, and you can use both of them together or just one of them — the choice is yours. SmartVPN gives you unlimited bandwidth, unlimited speed, encrypted connection, and can be used on up to five devices simultaneously. Get it now!

How Does It Work?

Smart DNS Proxy has fast & secure DNS servers. You simply need to change your DNS IP address in your device to Smart DNS Proxy Ip addresses. So then all your DNS queries will go through our secure dns network.

We also have servers globally in any country to route you the proper traffic you request through our DNS. So even if you live in Europe and want to stream from USA Netflix site, our DNS routes your query to the proper US netflix servers and you are able to stream from Netflix properly. The same with any other site.

All Smart DNS Proxy servers are secured and encrypted. There is also no logs in our network so all your queries are anonymous.

Main Benefits

Faster than VPN
No software needed
Works globally
Always secure
SmartVPN

Encrypt and secure your internet traffic.
PPTP, L2TP & OpenVPN Support

#536017 IPTV Player - development thread

Posted by gorski on 10 March 2016 - 10:11

I have it in mine. It's great!

Newer version of ffmepg is in play now, search in the last maybe 10 pages here or "my" succinct "howto's" (i.e. info provided by the authors put in one place...)... ;)

On second thought, how's this :D

1) Before installing IPTV Player, install ffmpeg for your platform

SH4

cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl...eg_2.7.1.tar.gz
tar -C / -xvf openatv5_sh4_ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
rm openatv5_sh4_ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
sync
reboot

=======================================================

MIPSEL OE 1.6 (old images)

Thanx to Kedarz!

cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl...psel_fpu.tar.gz
tar -xzf ffmpeg2.8.3_old_mipsel_fpu.tar.gz -C /
rm ffmpeg2.8.3_old_mipsel_fpu.tar.gz
sync
reboot

========================================================

MIPSEL OE 2.0

cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl...psel_fpu.tar.gz
tar -xzf ffmpeg2.8.5_mipsel_fpu.tar.gz -C /
rm ffmpeg2.8.5_mipsel_fpu.tar.gz
sync
reboot

========================================================

1a) Telnet command to check the ffmpeg version:

ffmpeg --version

========================================================

2) Telnet commends to install IPTV Player

rm  -rf  /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/IPTVPlayer
cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.vl...ythonX.X.tar.gz
tar -xzf latest.pythonX.X.tar.gz -C /tmp
rm latest.pythonX.X.tar.gz
cp -r iptvplayer-for-e2.git/IPTVPlayer /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/IPTVPlayer
rm -rf iptvplayer-for-e2.git/IPTVPlayer
sync
reboot

=========================================================

2a) If it doesn't appear in the Plugins, use the following Telnet command:

opkg update && opkg install python-html

=========================================================

3) When the IPTV Player starts and offers you various options, post installation, just agree to all the recommended actions!

Keep confirming all the suggestions, during the installation, which will also guide you to

3a) installing the External Player 3 or External Gstplayer  (once the installation finds ffmpeg in your Enigma2) and then

3b) update  the plugin, if possible...

==========================================================

4) Now, configure the IPTV Player before using it - do it carefully!!! Everything, from which players to enable/disable, where to send buffering, where to download, record and onwards...

==========================================================

5) Before choosing a channel/file use the blue button to choose the default player, with or without buffering, according to your situation/HW/internet speed etc.

==========================================================

6) For developers, to include the latest in your images

Repo:

Good luck!

Fan, I'll ask an obvious question, don't get mad at me, please.... :D

Ddid you install ffmpeg before installing the IPTV Player (there are 2 versions of ffmpeg, for our nefarious purposes: SH4 and mipsel)? If during the installation IPTV Player detects ffmpeg as present/installed, then it will offer you the installation of eplayer3.

Then, you'll see it... ;)

https://www.smartflix.io/

 How it works  Smartflix is a simple application that combines an index of Netflix content available worldwide, an optimized proxy service and a chromeless web browser that embeds the Netflix web player.

   Frequently asked questions (FAQ)  Is it safe to sign in to Netflix from inside the app?
 Yes. Your Netflix credentials are only saved on your computer (they are never transmitted to Smartflix servers). They are automatically deleted when you sign out of Netflix or when you uninstall the app.

 What is the maximum quality I can get with Smartflix?
 At the moment Smartflix has the same quality limitations as Google Chrome and Firefox (720p max). It's a Netflix decision and I'm hoping Netflix starts allowing 1080p soon.

 Why am I getting an error when trying to install Smartflix?
 Some antivirus block unsigned installers by default. At the moment the only way to install the app is to temporarily disable your antivirus during install and first launch.

Note: the installer should be signed by January 30 and this problem should disappear.

 Why do I get stuck on the loading screen when I try to play something?
 Something on your network or your computer may be blocking the proxy port used by the app (port 8080). Try to open http://portquiz.net:8080 in your regular browser to see if that's the case (If the page doesn't load then the proxy port is blocked. If it does load, then please talk to me via the chat).

 Can I use Chromecast?
 Google forces Google DNS on the Chromecast, making region-unblocking impossible.
Note: If you know how to reroute/block Google DNS at the router level, then Smartflix may offer a solution very soon. Stay tuned!

 Is Smartflix available on Roku, Apple TV, Android, iOS, ...?
 Right now Smartflix is only available for Windows and Mac.
You can follow @smartflixteam on Twitter or like our Smartflix page on Facebook to hear about new apps as soon as they come out!

 Will Netflix ban my account for using Smartflix?
 Millions of users have been region-unblocking Netflix for years without getting into any trouble. There are many other services offering this, Smartflix is just a "nice all-in-one" app!

 How much does Smartflix cost?
 Smartflix is free during beta, then it will be a one-time fee of $7.99 (with a free month trial first). This payment will be a seperate payment from Netflix and you will be asked to pay to continue using the app when the free trial expires (it's not automatic).

 Can I choose audio and subtitles language when streaming?
 We're currently working on this feature, it should come out in a few weeks!

 How can I report wrong movie or TV show info?
 Please send us an email at smartflixteam@gmail.com or send us a message via the chat and we will fix it!

Robinson, possibly both. Try with buffering and see if there is a difference. In my experience if the buffering is needed then it occurs every so often. That makes it un-watchable.

As for a proxy address: in Menu > Setup> System > Network > Adapter settings > Edit DNS (blue button > Add (yellow button) > add Primary and Secondary DNS (UK).

I use it with SmartDNS service (cheap!!! [you can even get it all encrypted via a proxy server with VPN in various countries]) to get the UK IP address and it works (Smart DNS Proxy + SmartVPN + VPN, if you want all that - but SmartDNS suffices!!!):

https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/

Samsamsam: I found textwrap and I posted it around, so no issue... Possibly due to an older Python 2.7 version, as found in the PBNIGMA I used, for that particular machine. Not everybody is using the latest version of Python 2.7, of course.

The developer behind SH4 E2 is currently extremely busy with his family, job, second job and a priority hobby project, porting E2 to ARM SoC... Something really new is brewing on the scene, thanx to him!

He saw my exchange with you and planned to put in ffmpeg, seeing it work in my AR-P test but...

On the other hand, we were hoping that your plugin would be able to do it - detect a newer Gstreamer and use it (at the moment it is looking for Gstreamer 0.1 and installs that, even though new Gstreamer 1.45 is in) or the absence of ffmpeg and install it or... But as you know, there are issues in doing it that way - we tried and it was not quite that simple... Sure, it needs to be done - one way or the other - but at the moment... I don't know if it is realistic to expect it before the summer break.... We'll see...

A second suggestion, from the aforementioned developer's partner was if you could try writing a "portable code" ("...da proba pisati portabilni kod")

We are partly following these developments here:

http://www.pb-powerboard.com/board/index.php?/topic/120309-iptv/

I am not sure about the toolchain - I will ask.

My test on GigaBlue HD X1 was also rather promising, even though I used a WLAN stick...

#486304 GStreamer 1.0

Posted by gorski on 9 April 2015 - 21:39

Guys, for what it's worth... I studied phonetics.

Our hearing is not that great. Full stop. (Great big) Most of us can't hear 20 or 20K Hz - it's beyond our capacities. We are bombarded every day with way too much noise and our hearing suffers, plus normal ageing, illnesses and so on.

What we can hear is better dynamics in newer technology (from various sound bearers/carriers and players to cables and speakers) and considerably less noise (better noise to sound ratio). But not much in terms of being like dogs, cats or bats....

Well, if occasionally there is a human with hyper-sensitive hearing - fine... However, most of us are not that sensitive.

Chris, you may be generally hyper :D and that seems good in terms of it driving you to achieve! That is good, from what I can see, as it seemed to have pushed this whole thing forward! Great!

But on this issue you are not really in tune with science.

Malakudi's science is not his own. End of. He repeated what he read. And I tested it in labs of ZG University, Philosophical Faculty, SUVAG school. I was tested, too, on my request. I have a fairly good idea about all that. Plus, I am a musician. Have a good system at home. But what you are saying is a bit hyper. Really. Relax. And try testing yourself in a properly scientific, double blind :D manner... Friends can help. ;)

That is if you do not trust the rest of us, who have a proper training in the field and some knowledge and experience...

But keep on pushing with Gstreamer, please! It has been a delight seeing you learn and push and push and improve and...

We salute athoik and you and all the rest! And especially you since you are kicking arse against the conservative impulse of OpenPLi in this matter... (I repeat: in this matter! Not in everything!)

Keep on rocking! And leave this issue be, please. It's getting into the realm of belief. Unless you actually test yourself in proper conditions, in terms of what you can really hear, in a lab. All else is BS, trust me. And that's from somebody who likes what he sees you do, OK? (Never mind that I am a lay person when it comes to coding... :D )

Stay well and chillax a bit (on this issue), please..... ;) :)
