I found that some plugins don't have yet an it.po file, so one must start from scratch from the original english .pot version.

 

In the past I've translated a couple of extensions:

About the other plugins and extension I use, in my box to solve the problem in a quick and dirty way I added all the English untranslated strings I can see on the screen into my personal Italian enigma.po file and then compiled it to enigma2.mo.

 

I understand that is not the best and correct way to solve the problem, but for me it's not easy to exactly find which plugins those English strings come from in order to possibly translate them.

 

However, after I pulled the updated it.po to github, all those strings not included in the enigma2.pot file were removed.

For what I've understood about plugins there are 2 types of plugins (please if I'm wrong correct me!!!):

Coming to the point to introduce text from external plugins in the main enigma2 translation file I think before to add .po file to the core image it's parsed using a .pot file and therefore extra rows are removed.

 

Anyway, i found where are located some of plugins you mentioned :

Finally, if you can't find the .po source file of a plugin you can always take an updated .mo file from your image and use an online tool to revert to .po file :-)

Hello,

I made a lot of changes to hungarian translation. I do not want to register to github or anything, so I share it here. You guys know what to do with it. I will do more changes later, when I will have more time. I translated the important base texts (and a lot more), and also did some optimizations and replaced the wrong translations.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, I know how to compile a .po but it did not seem necessary to re-translate over 4000 entries, I saw some untranslated voices and I reported them

Using Poedit you can update the translation over a .pot file without needing to retranslate it again :-)

 

Anyway, i'm fully revisioning the it.po file trying to render the translation more omogeneous with other plugins.

I'm gonna upload the file in next days and add missing items you suggested.

Sorry that I didn’t notice that before. I can’t focus on all details in every topic. I happened to notice this today for the first time. Besides this, I wanted to generate a POT myself but that this failed. So I’m happy with your initiative.
