I see it is a complete different package, could you try the following

opkg download mtd-utils-ubifs
and post the package here so I can see what is contained in this package.

You can also install this package and try again

opkg install mtd-utils-ubifs

Maybe one of the dev's can shine his light on this, is this package mtd-utils complete different from mtd-utils 1.4.9?

Thanks, I see that the needed programs are dived up in 2 different packages, mtd-utils and mtd-utils-ubifs.

In Openpli 3.0 all are packaged in 1 package so that's why there are some problems.

For Openpli 4.0 there are 2 package required to install, maybe this could be reconsidered to pack the utils in the "old" Openpli 3.0 style?

For the time being you could use in your control file

Depends: mtd-utils
Recommends: mtd-utils-ubifs

For Openpli 3.0 the mtd-utils-ubifs can't be loaded but the installation will not abort, it's only a recommendation

For Openpli 4.0 all the packages are installed/loaded

This package should work on both Openpli 3.0 en 4.0

Should I remove mtd-utils-ubifs_1.5.0-r5_mips32el bevor updating FullBackup to 2.6a ?

No real need to, you could do this, in that case if you later remove the plugin automatic fullbackup also the automatic installed packages will be removed if they are no longer required by other plugins.

So no real need but it is the best thing to do.

I can confirm that 2.6a works here (duo2+pli4) without visible problems :)

I did follow this thread... the 2.6a is now set ready on the 3rd party server. So from the next builds it should be available from the feeds.

here is the result of my test:

The bakup image of Duo2+PLi4 that FullBackup create is flashable over FlashGordon and USB-stick B)

it's not a bad idea, splitting those packages. Some mtd utils are quite big, and usually you only need a few.

Your 'Recommends' workaround should do fine I think.

I tested only in two ways: with FlashGordon and and USB-stick. Both methods worked here.

Hi PedroNewbie,

perhaps you already know something more about the duo2 than me. Is there something special? New image filenames, other mtd devices, more than one rootfs or kernel mtd devices?

@all: Can someone with a duo2 post the content of the file /proc/mtd?
I think you can't copy the file via ftp. But you can e.g. do a "cat /proc/mtd"

mtd1: 3d900000 00020000 "rootfs(redundant)"
mtd2: 00700000 00020000 "kernel"

root@DUO2:~# cat /proc/stb/info/vumodel
