Without any errormessages it is hard to say what is going wrong, I see there is no rootfs.bin in the directory fullbackup...etc. but is there a back-up made in the primary folder media/usb/xp1000 ?

Please try again and check if there is a rootfs.bin in /xp1000/

 

As far I can see this quick there should be a no problem in the backupscript

@Pedro thanks for your reply, I'll try and respond as best as I can, being a complete novice.

 

Your plugin "BackUp Suite / backup to USB" works fine, always has. Both for openpli-3 & 4

 

I had changed to opli-4 before I found the other plugin AutoFullBackup (it says version 2.5 - 04/08/2013 but it is the version 2.9 from this thread).

 

I have now gone back to PLi-3 to check if there was any difference but the result is still the same.

 

I only get a kernal and no root in my backup folder.

 

The flash side works fine when I use a backup made from your Backup Suite / Full back-up to USB.

@Pedro,

 

both the /usb/xp1000 and the /usb/automatic_fullbackup/*(date)_*(time) folders are the same

 

and the scheduled backups run on time each night.

 

I have now just gone back to PLi-4 via your program

I already see what is the problem, there is a part missing in the xp1000 branch

 

attached is a modified script (and script only), unpack it and copy it to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/FullBackup/ or wait until Dima73 correct it and distribute a new version

UBINIZE_ARGS="-m 2048 -p 128KiB"

is missing for the XP1000 in the script automatic-fullbackup.sh.

You could insert it on line 49

Tried this last night and all seems well with no obvious problems elsewhere.  Scheduled backup ran on time and restored correctly.

Could you lock down the final version that sorts out the XP1000 problem?

In the offended line 49 is: UBINIZE_ARGS="-ì 2048-ð 128KiB"

 

It has to be: UBINIZE_ARGS="-m 2048 -p 128KiB"

 

So some problems with your used font

We have little problem !

 

I have now lost the map to my USB.  ie media/usb = empty, I now I have media/sdb1 as map to my USB root

 

The write is working fine thank you.

edit media/sdb1 has diapered after reboot and media/usb is back to normal

 

flash seems to be working.

 

So question is why the need for a reboot ?
