I have read the announcement when it was done and I commented it also at that time. And I dropped also Support for OpenPLi at that time because of your decision.

 

This time you/the user who asked for it are simply lucky, because OpenATV puts dBackup on their Images for the newer Dreamboxes hence I know that it works with old enigma2 and this includes OpenPLi too.

 

As does Barry Allen and even AutoPin because on the dm900 with only 1 CI slot your ancient socketmmi is no real limitation and I decided to rename all you incompatible SocketMMI routines with my own ones if slot number is not available as argument.

I have no clue what kind machine the Octagon SF4008 is and if it is like the solo 4K etc.

 

Because of personal circumstances (serious illness in the familiy) I can't and won't spend much time in fiddling out  the specifications etc for this machine. Maybe I can find some spare time in the future but that won't be in the very near future.

It works similar to solo4k. So ext4 filesystem with one kernel and one rootfs partition.

Athoik made a pull request adding the SF4008 to the BackupSuite, so with tomorrows update the Octagon SF4008 is added to the BackupSuite.

I make my own plugins for all internet users,which use different images(just install the package).

Then we should think of a way that you can continue doing that, without giving the wrong impression here. Now people will think they have to download the plugin from here and install it manually.
