Hi,

my wifi-stick, Dlink dwa-140 rev B2 (lsusb id 07d1:3c0a) doesn't work properly with the RT2800usb driver. With this driver I
have very poor performance, packet drops etc.

With OpenPli 2.1 (kernel 2.6) there was no problem at all with this wifi-sick, but on the other hand the driver on kernel 2.6
was RT3070sta.

So, is it possible to install RT3070sta driver on OpenPli 3.0 with kernel 3.1.1? If so, can someone put it on feed again?

regards
Ronnie

Try to disable power management of wlan interface to see if you have improved performance.
From telnet, run:

iwconfig wlan0 power off

and report back.

Hi again,

I have tested the above suggestion to disable power management, but with no improvement for stability/performance :-(

Unfortunately in 3.x linux kernels the support fot the old ralink drivers have been replaced by the rt2x00 drivers. Various instability issues are fixed with the trick I mentioned above. It's a pitty it didn't work for you. I will try to check if the driver for 3.6 kernel is any different than 3.1 kernel (I use ET9X00 and it has 3.6 kernel).
