Yes gstreamer-good twice..and now gstreamer-bad

 

But i see for dm8000 we have

gstreamer1.0-plugins-base-audioconvert \

In Enigma2.bb. So perhaps not all boxes are infected. Can only test DM8000.

 

But it's not good anyway..

Yes.. GStreamer-recipes are 99,99% equal to the recipes of @christophecvr.

 

But now git master-head. gstreamer-plugins-base is -AUTOREV- now at this moment due the problem.But of course you can change what you want.

 

Be aware you set gstreamer1.0-plugin-multibox-dvbmediasink in your machine conf.

Both problem with GStreamer solved.

 

The problem with uninitialized time_base in gstreamer-plugins-bad was already solved. I made the patch yesterday morning and it was solved yesterday in the afternoon...I didn't noticed that....HIT ME

 

The problem with gstreamer-plugins-base: High distortion(crispy noise) when playing a .wav file, physicial audio CD and perhaps more file formats reported at bugzilla and solved by gstreamer-dev's.They had no problem, so i guess it has something to do with the mediasink?

 

Anyway solved.

Are You using last master off gstreamer then ? if so I will update the recipes -

Guess You must give a sound media sample since all wav files are playing by me and others.

On dm8000 and vuduo2 it plays , but :

 

On vuduo2 there is no sound guess this has to do with downmix which is not done by duo2 it's using internal downmix which does not appears to be done when the file is audio only.

  To investigate why the reason is just a guess off me here. since I do not have amplifier with spdif I cant test if only dts sound is ok.

 

On dm8000 it has also sound since there dts is always downmixed if You set downmix dts to on as general stb audio setting and use multibox plugin with config :

DVBMEDIASINK_CONFIG = "--with-dreambox --with-pcm --with-wma --with-wmv --with-dtsdownmix --with-eac3 --with-limited-mpeg4v2"

Further investigation showed that the wav with dts plays ok also on vuduo2 but the duo2 driver does not downmix when it's only audio (why I really do not know), so if You use spdif and a amplifier it (should play) nice with real dts sound.

Now if You build with last (master or experimental) and install on You're box the gstreamer plugin :

gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-dtsdec  (with opkg install)  don't install this plugin on a dreambox !

Yes it should..But it doesn't on dm8000.

 

With downmix off no sound via spdif to amplifier(it's even not start playing).File renamed like you said. using latest multibox at experimental branch.

 

DVD with DTS no problem.

 

So there is something wrong with the latest gstreamer like @foxbob says, or something wrong with that) file.

 

Opening the file in Audacity creates 6 audio channels and playing flawless.
