I added support for additional DASH manifest format.

With this new patch you will be able to play for example some long DASH stream from youtube.

 

You can generate example dash link using this command: 

youtube-dl -J "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmL19DOP_Ls" | jq -r ".requested_formats[0].manifest_url"

I'm trying to get exteplayer3 supporting external subtitle files in some way.
I tried with exteplayer3 -x subtitles.srt video.mkv but I get the following error:

Hello,

 

exteplayer3 does not handle external subtitles. 

But, something which is using exteplayer3 can and support for external subtitles.

 

You can check for example, how it is done in the IPTVPlayer:

In the IPTV Player there is host Local media which can be used as Media Player for files located on a storage.

It supports all text subtitles format suported by VLC: https://wiki.videolan.org/subtitles via python library iptvsubparser (https://github.com/samsamsam-iptvplayer/iptvsubparser) written for the IPTVPlayer.

i know that is not a problem of serviceapp plugin but anyone have a fix for epg reference problem?

if i change bouquet to 5002: i have exteplayer but i lost epg
if i use 1: epg work but i dont have expeplayer3 ....

i guess void setQpipMode(bool value, bool audio) { } needs to be added in serviceapp... (and mayby also merlin etc...)

 

And the weird thing here on Ultimo4K the drivers do not respond on the positioining of the eVideowidgets.... so the quad pip does not work correctly yet... Vu did also not solve the 2160 p mode PIP positioning also...

Unfortunately developers are not to interested into IPTV problems. They are developing image by their needs and this is all just a hobby. Like how I concluded from their posts they are making image for satellite box not for IPTV box. (I read that response on this forum somewhere). So we can just hope that they will change their minds about IPTV.

 

EPG problem which you are trying to fix is reported some time ago and it suppose to be fixed, but its not obviously ....

 

There are allot more problems not just EPG.

 

If you set serviceapp non original player and if you try to record IPTV (4097,5002) , spinner will come up and box will be suck like that until reboot.
This problem is reported some time ago.

Expeplayer3 and internal player is not reconnecting IPTV stream when connection is unexpectedly closed, picture will stay frozen until rezap.

So if you recording something all will be useless.

IPTV recording problems (2 separate streams are needed instead just one), I wrote about that before.

That being true, the patch has been reverted, so all should be OK again.
