So for a release image I think python2 is still better. -> +1 the real mandatory switch is when OE stops suporting Python 2. When this happend a lot of (especially closed source) stuff Will stop functioning.

Exteplayer3 does not work after instaling serviceapp :

error while loading shared libraries: libswscale.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

There there is some dependency missing. libswscale5 is in the feed, but appearently not installed. What gives the error, Exteplayer3 or serviceapp?

is that a new ffmpeg version in 8.0? could be some ffmpeg library (libav*) needs it

yes, libaw/ffmpeg lib, we have it but too new ;-) in 8.0 (like in many recently reported cases)
root@vs1500:~# opkg list *libsws*
libswscale5 - 4.3.1-r0.9 - A complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video.

you can try a symlink, iif it helps:
root@vs1500:~# cd /usr/bin/
root@vs1500:/usr/bin# ln -s libswscale.so.5.7.100 libswscale.so.4

Fresh installation Pli8 , and nstallation serviceapp without restoring system settings does not cause exteplayer3 error libswscale.so.4

Interstingly in the previous configuration uninstalling and reinstalling the serviceapp did not fix the error libswscale.so.4

And did you instal exteplayer from feed, when the error appeared? Or some external ipk?

In fact with the feed version you should not hit this issue for sure...

DON'T add /usr/bin/* to your backup!

This will make major problems as e2 binary is also stored there.

If that disk is formatted NTFS or ExFat, we are aware of that, and working on a solution.

Thanks for the answer, yes and a 4tb hd formatted in NTFS

The HDD is not detected automatically.I install a plugin to mount the HDD and now it is detected.

A littlebug like in openpli 7 that generates a crash when moving  channels group or channel. If you try again it works.

Sometimes there is a crash sometines no crash.

I also followed your solution and installed the mount manager and now the HDD appears, thanks

I'll see if I can fix this in the restore of the backup (which is what creates the problem).

Hello.

Tested today on an VU+ Zero, works fine, BUT mgcamd_1.38 will not work:

root@vuzero:/usr/lib# mgcamd
mgcamd: /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.1: version `GLIBC_2.0' not found (required by mgcamd)

I made symlincs from libcrypt.so.2.0.0 -> libcrypt.so.1

Any suggestions ?

That looks like the end of (that version of) mgcamd. glibc 2.0 is ancient.

Two differents crashes in moving channels group.

There is no way I can reproduce your problem. Everything is always OK with me.
