If it is not available in the plugin extensions, you can't. Afaik it doesn't run on all VU+ boxes (can't remember which ones).

We don't do any work on Kodi ourselfs (no users and no one with expertise in the team).

 

There's a topic in the third party about Kodi on VU+, afaik there are still issues with the Mipsel boxes. Perhaps you can ask there what the status is.

Unfortunately, external subtitles in Bulgarian and other languages ​​are not displayed when watching online movies with Elementum. A quick test with another device (as well as with the same - Mutant HD60 with Open ATV and Kodi 18.6) with the same settings showed that there are no problems. I noticed that the subtitles are downloaded in different places compared to 18.6 in Open ATV (the location of the Kodi directories is also different) , but even after manually specifying the path to them - they are not displayed and not in list. The same problem was in OpenPli 7.2 and 7.3 with the old Kodi 17.6. If a developer needs additional information or logs I will provide it to solve this annoying problem. Thanks in advance.

Appendix. In the media player of Open Pli 8.0 external subtitles in Cyrillic work only if they are in UTF8, in Cyrillic (Windows) - no. In the Kodi 18.9 video player, external subtitles are not loaded and are not displayed either in Cyrillic (Windows) or in UTF8. With an online player (Elementum as an example) the situation is the same. Please if anyone has ideas to solve the problem please share them.

Why? This is just encoding the subtitle font. Many of the BG subtitles are in Cyrillic (Windows). If not set, monkeys / characters are displayed. In all Android, LibreElec and OpenElec devices that I had, I set it up and I had no problem (only in Ariel.ttf or another to have support for Cyrillic ISO or Windows). In Open ATV 6.4. as an example, everything works correctly. There is some other problem with OpenPli 7.2 - 8.0 and it is not in the encoding, because the subtitles are not visible at all, even with the wrong characters. If there are built-in subtitles in .mkv file for example it is visible but external not.

Your IPTVPlayer plugin raised an exception and stopped, it looks like while trying to update itself. Nothing we can do about it.

 

Thanks again. Wondering why its installed hence I am not using it. So uninstalled it.
But again, if using ARD Mediathek in the Mediaportal: It crashes, now with another error...

Hey guys long time no speak.

Flashed RC8 online to my ET8000 yes it's still working fine.
Issue I have is channel names are not displayed on the front screen of stb.
Screen working fine booting and other text and characters display properly.

Just no watched channel name.

I have tested RC8 on my new Octagon sf8008m now for a few days.

 

I really like the image but sadly blindscan is not working

 

I have installed this plugin this from the feed:

 

enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-blindscan - z-git5015+5c258c3-r0.2

 

And then when I try to start a blindscan I get the message "It seems manufacturer does not support bind scan for this tuner".  Well, blindscan works on OpenATV 6.5 for a fact.

Is this a known issue in OpenPli world ?

That is the default LCD skin, if no specific skin for the box is defined. I wonder if the display of the ET8000 is the same as for the ET10000?

 

If so, you might try replacing it with https://raw.githubus...play_vuduo2.xml. Keep a copy of the original one, just in case...
