This problem will disappear automatically, as the old OE-A custom multiboot system is only used in old images, all OE-A images have been using the new system as well, for over a year.

This happens if people invent their own solutions, instead of following the manufacturer...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Does Kodi need it, or does some addon need it?

inputstream-adaptive is an optional package for internet access, afaik Kodi itself doesn't need it. So if your addon does, you have to install it from the feed (software management, package management, or via the commandline).

We come back to the same thing again...I use Open Vix 5.4,Pure 6.5 and OpenAtv 6.4...These are the new image...

As WanWizard wrote at first sight something different:

It's not planned (from my side) to adapt OpenPLi image. I plan to change it on OE-A side.

It would be nice to use OpenPli 8.0,OpenAtv 6.4,OpenAtv 6.4 and Pure 6.5 in multiboot..

If you flash OpenPLi via USB stick (warning all images are deleted!), you should be able to use latest OpenATV and OpenPLi images already now in multiboot. OpenVix and OpenHDF (if not older than a week) should also work.
Pure 6.5 I don’t know.

Via commandline use this command and install inputstream-adaptive

opkg install kodi-addon-inputstream-adaptive

Pure 6.5 I don’t know.

SI just don't see all the image except OpenVix in any of the slots if they are in flash ( then OpenPli does not see slots) ...It turns out that only OpenPli must be exclusively in flash...It's about Zgemma H7S...

The problem is the partitioning, that only happens when you complely flash the box. If you don't, new OE-A images will happily use the old format, which OpenPLi never supported and doesn't understand.

If that disk is formatted NTFS or ExFat, we are aware of that, and working on a solution.

Zgemma H7S ....There is still a multiboot problem...In any slot unless it is in flash OpenPli does not see other slots...There was no problem in version 7.2 ..The problem starts with version 7.3 and is present in version 8.0...Will you ever fix the problem...Thanks

It should be installed first, openpli-8.0-rc-h7-20201201_usb and then you can add any image (I tried OpenAtv and PurE2), and everything works fine. Tried on Zgemma H7S.

Hi

After e2iplayer is installed and launched i get inormation fatal error none Openssl

Same installation in Openpli 7.3 returns no error

that's because e2iplayer installation / package check script did not expect the up-to-date 1.1.1 openssl version that is in openpli 8... (possible versions ended on 1.0.2)

I suggest that this error message is actually harmless since you do have openssl installed, just press ok to close it, and plugin will work fine with it I suppose

however if you'd like to get rid of this error message for good you'd need to adjust iptvsetupimpl.py to include 1.1.1 version

The HDD is not detected automatically.I install a plugin to mount the HDD and now it is detected.

A littlebug like in openpli 7 that generates a crash when moving  channels group or channel. If you try again it works.

Sometimes there is a crash sometines no crash.
