but in the previous jade3 revision 6480 movieplayer is doing great i'm talking of the 7000 box
it's from revision 6494 it's no working anymore

Strange... the only E1 change is the "sorry, no harddisks found" fix.

it works fine on vlc 086e. and I use new 6494 pli jade3.but not maxwar.maxwar version not work.On Normally pli 3 jade : movieplayer and youtubeplayer works fine.Thanks Pli Team. Use vlc 086e.

It works really.You once work youtubeplayer.When see you on tv.shut up Youtubeplayer.And on the Pc Vlc 086e.Select tool-prefecens-save.then restart pc and dm 500.start vlc 086e on the pc.start movieplayer on the dm 500.movieplayer working on dm really fine.I work movieplayer.

Do not use maxvar.Use normally dm 500 Jade 3.

i have the dream dm500c and movieplayer in jade 2 is ok but in jade 3 i dont have success , when i open the plugin movieplayer the screen stay black and restart enigma...

What is then movie player version released in E1-Jade 2 ?
Can we load E-Jade 3 Maxvar (without movie player) and then download the movieplayer version released in Jade 2 ?

Any updates on this? my setup: DM500S, Jade3, Vista, VLC 1.0.0 and VLC .8.6.e no luck... says 'buffering and that is it.

To get the problem right:
Which version does fail? Is the build-in movieplayer okay or are there just problems with the downloaded movieplayer? In that case we could make a new fresh movieplayer in our downloads.

Great image, Thanx to the pli-team! But same problem with the built-in movie player, here.

I hope to contribute with this small report for the developers:

[*]VLC 1.0.0 starts playing the selected movie on the DM500+, but on my XP-PC!

My experience here:
1- with VLC 0.8.6i the dream says buffering 0% and then stops
2 - the movie starts on the pc but not on the dream.

Any new?


NOTE: is possible to have a youtubeplayerin dm500?

Is it possible to remove the built in movieplayer in jade3 for dm500 and then download old movieplayer from add ons as the problem doesn't seem to exist jade2 with add on player.

That should be possible.
Take the /lib/tuxbox/plugins/movieplayer.so from Jade2 and store it in /var/tuxbox/plugins in Jade3. Hope that solves your problem.

I downloaded the movieplayer before and was showing up as plugin. it did not work as i believe there would be a conflict with the movieplayer in the lib/tuxbox in jade 3. I am not sure but would you not have to remove all traces of movieplayer in jade 3. It was just an idea as i am still learning about these things. I just looked in lib/tuxbox and there is movieplayer. config and movieplayer.so can this moved to var/tubox/plugins.
