The source avi file has an error and will not work in VLC, so repair it with VLC or any avi fix app and try it again. If VLC has an issue then the DM box will never see the avi file.

If he means Play Back (PB) then see my reply above this one. It is an avi issue with VLC not movieplayer in the PLi software.

Try VLC 0.8.6. The latest VLC versions need a "host" file (somewhere posted on this forum, but I can't find it).

as mentioned above by me, the reason why they are being skipped is because there is an error in the avi file and it needs to be repaired. If you turn your VLC debug on it will report the same on your PC.

This has nothing to do with the PLi software, it is all about your AVI files and your VLC on your PC.

If you use google search there are many programmes that will fix this issue for you i.e. http://www.google.co...49300958668c103

A whole new compile is needed, but as far as I know there were no problems with the DM7000.

So I'll have to look into recompiling.

Don't download the movieplayer. It's not compatible with the test image posted here.

Well, I have the same problems as mentioned in this thread on my dm7000.
So I'll have to look into recompiling.

If needed I can post a new DM7000 image too. I have one here but it's not up to date. May take some time.

I understand.
Movieplayer doesn't work on Jade3 (on a DM500) so it has no use to download it. A whole new image is needed.

I compiled image from source as writen here http://openpli.pli-i...tEnvironmentCDK
but size of movieplayer.so is around 800 kilo-bytes (size of downloaded movieplayer.so from dream menu is around 80 kilo-bytes )

What is the correct size of movieplayer.so ?
