Just committed the change, so normally if you update tomorrow it should work fine.

You can also, if you don't want to wait, copy enclosed file to your plugin folder replacing the existing one.

The path to you plugin folder is:

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/BackupSuite/

Hi Pedro

Just ftp'd the lookable.txt file into the correct place & rebooted the receiver, your plugin works a treat.  Thank you for sorting it out.

Regards ;)

VTI image is a little bit different. /media is a normal directory and no tmpfs mount. I thought I had fixed that some time ago. Either I haven't or you don't use latest ofgwrite version. Which version is shown on the TV?

@Helmut: Image is not very good. I can't read the red error message. Is it the same problem with VTI image?

In my solo 4k with VTI everything works fine, but two other VTI users have just this error message.

"Error move media mountto newroot. Abort flashing."

My version is 3.5.7, I think it's the current, right?

Yes, 3.5.7 is the latest version.

To find the problem more debugging is necessary. As it works on your box it must be something special.
But I'm on holiday the next 10 days. So this have to wait.

no problem, enjoy your holiday !!

a possible problem for the mpsi boxes could in the following lines in the

"/ usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / mips / ofgwrite" be:

Shell Script
. 1 #! / Bin / sh
. 2
3.mkdir / newroot
4.mount -t tmpfs tmpfs / newroot
5.chmod 755 / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / sh4 / ofgwrite_bin
6.chmod 755 / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / sh4 / ofgwrite_test
7.cp / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / sh4 / ofgwrite_bin / newroot /
8./newroot/ofgwrite_bin $ *

should not be there, or I got this wrong?

Shell Script
. 1 #! / Bin / sh
. 2
3.mkdir / newroot
4.mount -t tmpfs tmpfs / newroot
5.chmod 755 / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / mips / ofgwrite_bin
6.chmod 755 / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / mips / ofgwrite_test
7.cp / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / Extensions / Full backup / bin / mips / ofgwrite_bin / newroot /
8./newroot/ofgwrite_bin $ *

Hello,
was able to narrow the problem with the solo 4K. It is up to the mounts on the box. Once one is activated, folds the image does not flash and there comes the error message from # 288th

Maybe I found the error. But as said I can only change and test it after my holidays.

Hi Mario,

which plugin do you use? Backupsuite or automatic fullbackup?

Attached is a new ofgwrite_bin file. Please put it on your box and unzip it. Then replace all existing ofgwrite_bin with the new version. Don't forget to make it executable (chmod 755 ofgwrite_bin). Then start flashing. On TV screen version 3.5.8 should be shown. Otherwise something went wrong.

If you have problems with this, please ask.

\FullBackup\bin\armv7l

or

\FullBackup\bin\mips

or

\FullBackup\bin\sh4

Which plugin do you use?
I installed automatic fullbackup from the feed (pli) and there were no such directories.

The attached binary is only for arm boxes like solo4k. So
\FullBackup\bin\armv7l

Please test with a mounted share.

Thanks, it can be that the old file has 682 KB and the new 5871 KB has.

It's a test file. I didn't spend much time to make it small(which is called stripping). If it works, I update the git and a normal version can be build which is small again.

OK, I have tested it with me and with me it has worked, it also appears 3.5.8 in the flashing tool screen. But I have no network shares, with which there seemed to be problems and therefore still waiting for feedback in the VU + forum.

Subsequent response from users with NAS mounts:

The replaying backups from the usb stick is now possible despite NAS mounts.
But sometimes comes the message the e2 could not be stopped. And the box is restarted.
Only after completely reboot (gui neustarten is not enough) then it works.

  EDIT:
Backup from the NAS drive, however, does not work. Since still
Error flashing kernelSystem won't boot please flash backup! Starting E2 in 60 sec
Is a backup from the NAS possible at all?
Or does the backup necessarily on usb or HDD lie?

That's because the mounts are disconnected. I had the same problem, therefore I reverted personally, on my Solo2 and ET8000, to version 2.3.3 which also provides support for flashing from my external NAS.

All my daily automatic made backup's are stored on my NAS so for me it is vital to be able to restore from NAS
