no luck i made a make checkout
then i rm .enigma
make .enigma
./build-image
instead of open-pli-dm500-20090830-2 i have now open-pli-dm500-20090830-5
so its revision5

but now movieplayer dont even start i get nothing now

Try to remove .plugins too to build the movieplayer plugin. Or even better: just run make_cdk_image

It is. We are referring to my changes in rev5.

yep going back like Daf2000 says revision 5
is working

for me no problem but the movieplayer now is actualy the version like in jade2
without the choise of making your own resolution
and no choise of vlc 0.8.6

so i think who ever made the changes in movieplayer have to look again what's wrong
i'm also looking at it but then again my skills are limited

No plans for a new image yet, but we are thinking about releasing OpenPLi beta images until there's a real release.

can you upload the working version, coppied old fade 2 movieplayer, to var/tuxbox/plugins but no luck.

Here is the latest version.
Before you flash: copy the file /var/etc/software.xml to your PC and copy it back to the Dreambox after flashing.

Please let me know in this thread if it's working fine.

Working fine with Vlc version 0.8.6.a only ( tried others versions without success) , thank you very much.

Also working with 0.8.6i here only thing is the first time there's a popup window
that shows duration and position in file then i have to exit en go back again then everything
works fine here

Thank you very much daf2000 have installed image and movie player working very well for me using vlc 0.8.6i.
A little problem though i copied back the software.xml file to var/etc but cannot download anything in software management.
No problems connecting to webif.
I have two software .xml files one shows menu date 14th june and the other one 19th july. Have the oldest one in var/etc now.
Have checked network and all settings O.K.
Any help would be appreciated as very happy with new image just want to load Ngrab and xline skin.

You need the one which has this line in the top:
<update url="http://downloads.pli...oftware.tar.gz" target="/"/>
And that's the one of 19th July.

What error do you get? Did you try some tests? (ping google.com etc)

Thanks daf2000 for yor quick reply. I now have software xml with 19th july and reads exactly the same as you say. pinged my dreambox ip and google no problems. should the nameserver and the gateway be identical as i bridged my modem a few weeks back and did not change as any settings in network as everything worked fine.
The message i am getting is download failed. please check available space and your communication settings. my var is only 30%.
