minnor problem online update doesnt work. error: ( Cant resolve hostname!

varmax jade3 bug: no version of movieplayer works, boxs keeps restarting.
vlcf dont work too

Before you flash: copy the file /var/etc/software.xml to your PC and copy it back to the Dreambox after flashing.

thats for sure! as i found out this morning.
now all i have to do is work how to get vlc to play on my computer again.
Now web-x don't work and stream to pc but Movieplayer works great.
Lots of fun these vlc settings.

VLC 8.6i, but not working perfectly. Continuous playback of the film is ok,but use
some options, for example: Rewind ... and Go to ... to lead to stop movieplayer and box keeps restarting.
Does anyone have such a situation?

I only know that rewind etc. may take a long time. It never rebooted my Dreambox, though. I don't have a DM500 (well I have, but it's not connected) but it seemed to work fine on a DM7000 and DM600.

I did a make checkout
and now i have Openpli-dm500-20090915-14m img
and stil movieplayer is working well

with vlc 0.8.6i

yes streaming from dm to pc is not working wel on my dm500
but on the dm7000 its working owke
so i think its the bad quality of the networkcard in the 500 that's the problem ?

its working but stuttering picture

ps: sorry for late reply had som networking problems so i was not sure
what the problem was the 500 or the network

movieplayer is working well now for me but i have never had good recordings when streaming same as you stuttering so i use ngrablite. works really well.
Anyone know how in timer edit i can make ngrab my default device?

Depends on how you program your timer. What I do: I always open MultiEPG and press green for a normal recording, yellow for ngrab, blue for switch (see HELP in MultiEPG).

Thanks dAF2000 never really understood what was in multiepg as i only have one channel which has epg. Since updating with the open pli Jade 3 i no longer any epg.
I have setup epg to my pc mount.

fixed it time and date not set correctly i thought i had changed them when I flashed open pli.
